What is the casual, rural lifestyle of northeastern Colorado?

As rural natives to northeastern Colorado, we have long held the secret of living our lives closer to nature, uncomplicated by urban congestion, while enjoying on our terms, all of the activities that Denver, Colorado and the Rocky Mountains offer, just sixty minutes away.

Northeastern Colorado is all about vistas that extend 30 miles and more. It’s about cloud formations that are miles and miles away and a blue sky that seems endless. It’s about cornfields sprouting in the spring, oceans of sunflowers in the summer, Platte River colors in the fall, and quick melting snow cover in the winter. Northeastern Colorado is a high, semi-arid region so the air is light and it’s never as cold or never as warm as the temperature gauge may suggest.
Just as importantly, rural residents are not stressed by traffic congestion, the urban cost of living or crowded schools. Neighbors know neighbors and residents know the business owners because they are neighbors too. Some businesses close during the noon hour, but that is not a problem, because every business is only 10 minutes away.

The secret to rural living is knowing that urban services are close-by. Fort Morgan Municipal Airport and I-76 complete the rural lifestyle experience by providing excellent transportation avenues to favorite locations.

Blue Sky Preserve, Trailside and Saddle Ridge, northeastern Colorado, and the Fort Morgan area exemplify what we yearn for - the spirit, individuality and the beauty of nature that surrounds us.
